Summary:
The Topology Engine add-on is designed for dynamic coloring of single line diagrams in PcVue mimics. The aim of this add-on is to calculate the distribution of voltages across an electrical grid that may not be fully equipped with voltage sensors. It allows visualizing the presence or absence of voltage on all busbar and feeders, a feature also known as dynamic busbar coloring. |

Details:
Dynamic busbar coloring gives the operator a quick overview of the state of a substation or other voltage distribution and shows, at a glance, whether any specific part of the substation (e.g. busbar segment) is earthed, energized, or de-energized. This function helps to prevent incorrect switching decisions, especially in emergency situations. In addition to graphic animations in single line diagram mimics, the calculation results can be used to log and alarm voltage presence/absence, power sources state… Starting with PcVue 11, the runtime dll of the Topology Engine Add-on is delivered and installed with PcVue. This article and files attached contains set up instructions.
