PcVue version 9.0 SP1 onwards.

Summary:

This article explains why you sometimes see a strikethrough font in the the Alarm Viewer.

Details:

The Alarm Viewer’s font properties on some older versions of PcVue did not save correctly but as it was not re-read there was no apparent problem.

Here is a solution if you see this problem.

  1. Open the mimic or template on which you have the Alarm Viewer.
  2. Edit the font to check it is correct and force a save to the mimic/template by making a change.
  3. This should sort out your problem.

Now we save it properly and read it back properly. For old mimics we read back an incorrect property for the Alarm Viewer resulting in the strikethrough font.
