All versions – Thread pool settings
Thread pool settings are overridden at installation time. Check the ThreadPool value in the file EtcSettings.ini before installing the update and make sure you restore it after the version update.
Version 11.1 – Expression syntax
Following changes in the expression engine in 11.1 Release & updates, you will want to check KB764 before updating from a build earlier than 11.1.06010 to prevent potential syntax issues affecting expressions on variables and expressions used in animations.
Version 11.2 – Installation
The patch installation package can only be applied on top of 11.2.06048 or later. If the version currently installed is earlier than 11.2.06048, you will need to download and install the standard or full package (11.2.06087_Update_PcVue.iso or 11.2.06087_Update_PcVue_FullDVD.iso).
Version 10.0 – Installation
Uninstall the currently installed version manually using the control panel (programs & features settings) before installing the fixed version.
Version 10.0 – Grid control
The legacy grid control is no longer supplied since 10.0 SP1. If you currently use the version 10.0 Initial Release or 10.0 Update 1, it is likely that your project takes advantage of this legacy grid control. Please refer to KB600 for instructions on how to install it manually.
Version 11.0 and 11.1 – Installation
On most computer systems, the installation package of the fixed version can be launched without uninstalling manually the current one.
However, under some circumstances, the automatic uninstallation may fail. If so, uninstall the currently installed version manually using the control panel (programs & features settings) before installing the fixed version.
Version 10.0, 11.0 and 11.1 – BACnet network access settings
Before installing, make sure you take notes of the BACnetDataServer configuration using the BdsAdmin tool (BACnet port settings and Advanced settings), and make sure you restore all settings after the version update.
