Applies to:

WebVue versions supplied with PcVue version 11.2 and earlier and supporting Windows XP.
WebVue versions supplied with PcVue version 12 onwards use different technology to which this article is not applicable.
Summary:

Under Windows XP Pro, IIS 5.1 limits the number of simultaneaous user to 10 (service Web connection and FTP included).

The following modification enable you to increase the number of connection up to 40 but not more (40 is the hard coded limit)
Details:

  • Find the file Adsutil.vbs (it should be in c:\inetpub\AdminScripts)
  • Open a DOS prompt and type  the following command under the directory mentioned above: ” adsutil set w3svc/MaxConnections 40 “
  • You should get  the return : ” MaxConnections : (Integer) 40 ”  (if not check your syntax and try again!)
