Summary:
This article describes the way to set a TFTP server up in Microsoft Windows environment. We’ll use here PumpKIN freeware. This procedure would be especialy useful for transfering configuration or firmware files from/to MOXA devices. |

Details:
PREREQUISITE TFTP server default binding port is UDP 69. Please ensure to allow in TFTP server firewall.
STEP 1: Get and install TFTP server software (Pumpkin) You can get the last PumpKIN software version from official website http://kin.klever.net/pumpkin/binaries
STEP 2: PumpKIN software configuration Once PumpKIN run, go to “Options” button (1) to access to settings:
(2): to specify the root directory where files will be got/dropped, (3): to allow any files to be got from TFTP server when is running, (4): to allow any files to be put to TFTP server when is running, (5): OK button to save and exit settings window, (6): to tick the case to run the TFTP server and then allow remote devices to put and get files
STEP 3: Stop and close the TFTP server / PumpKIN The cross in the top right of the PumpKIN window won’t stop and close the software. Ensure to properly close PumpKIN by using “Exit” option from PumpKIN icon in systray:
