1) How to activate the Alert Mediator In PcVue: When you create PcVue variables, tick Flag For Remote Access in the variable options. The VAREXP.DAT file is used to import PcVue variables into Alert In Alert: When your Alert configuration is done (it means when you’ve declared the “On-Call Management” part) then you can import PcVue variables using the Alert Mediator. To activate the Alert Mediator, you have to choose in Alert the m_pcvue.dll in the following menu: Configuration/Options – supervision tab Then, in the Alert explorer, right-click on Tags and choose import/m_pcvue.dll Select the VAREXP.DAT file from your PcVue project. Then, select your variables, specify the On-call-management group that will be associated to these variables, add them and close this window by selecting OK Then you’ll find your variables added to Alert 2) How to check sent information between Alert and PcVue Alert and PcVue use System variables (declared in PcVue) to exchange information. These variables are:
SYSTEM.INFO.DATA_OUTPUT is used to send information from PcVue to Alert. SYSTEM.INFO.CMD is used to send information from Alert to PcVue. Both are text variables that can be displayed in PcVue or written in a text file. Alert is directly connected on these variables by using DDE communication. These variables can be useful to check to see what information is being exchanged between PcVue and Alert. |
