Summary:

This article explains the difference between the two timestamp fields in proprietary archive unit files.
Details:

In the log files there are two timestamp fields per line of archived data:

  • The first relates to time-stamping in CIMWAY.
  • The second relates to time-stamping in the HDS and is used for searching by date and time in the Log Viewer.

Usually these timestamps are identical. However when using multi-station architecture, with a SCADA station retrieving data from the PLC and a client station working as an archive unit server, the values are distinct.
