How to display timestamp quality in the HMI.

Details:

With some protocols the data is timestamped at the device. This is particularly important for those protocols specific to the Electricity Distribution business sector (IEC and DNP3). Recent changes to the drivers in PcVue now means that there is a quality for the timestamp.

The timestamp quality can be displayed in the Alarm and Log Viewers using the #x line format character. #x causes the following to be displayed.

  • SV – Timestamp is from PcVue
  • PLC – Timestamp is from the equipment.
  • PLC? – Timestamp is from the equipment and its quality is uncertain.
