To avoid a fatal error extracting data from DataVue to Excel 2000.
Details:

To avoid a fatal error extracting data from DataVue to Excel 2000.

Excel 2000 is old technology based and it has to be configured as DDE and not OLE.

This technology implies some restrictions to be known:

  • Extraction mode
    Excel file, and destination sheet must exist otherwise an error is triggered
  • Pre defined requests
    Trends: It is not possible to export statistic
    Logs: No occurrences reports

To solve this problem you should follow steps :

  1. Add files DV_95.xls et DV_97.xls in the installation directory of DataVue.
  2. Configure Excel to enable Macros:
    • Excel -> Macro -> Sécurity…
    • Tick Low level security
    • Close Excel
  3. Configure DataVue
    • File -> Configuration, tab Excel.
    • Tick Excel 97 et tick DDE.
