Summary:

This article describes how to prevent the cursor from appearing to allow re-sizing as it passes over the edge of a mimic.

Details:

Microsoft Windows does not let you control the cursor’s appearance directly. In the HMI, its appearance depends on the Border property of a window. If that is on, the cursor changes from cursor_on_or_off_mimic to cursor_on_mimic_border as it passes over the border of the mimic even when no re-sizing is allowed.

Otherwise it remains the same: cursor_on_mimic_edge_not_border

Solution

If the Sizeable property is turned off, set the Border property also to off.

Note

The ordinary options for setting the Windows cursor’s behaviour are in the Control Panel’s Mouse Properties dialog, in the Pointer Options tab.
