For security reasons, as from PcVue 8.10 a new protection key, the Sentinel SuperPro XM, is used. This requires the use of the Sentinel driver version 7.3.0 onwards. If, for any reason, a replacement key for a previous version of PcVue is ordered, the SuperPro XM will be supplied. The original driver supplied with the previous version of PcVue will not be compatible. This applies to all versions before 8.10.

 Solution:

• Un-install the previous Sentinel driver (via Windows Configuration Panel )
• Reboot.
• Install the Sentinel driver version 7.3.2 or later
• Reboot.

Beware that, although the key manufacturer declares that the key is compatible with Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Server 2003, we have observed issues with Windows 95, 98 and the NT class of operating system. 

If operating system compatability problems are encountered then the only solution is to locate, erase and re-code an older SuperPro key.
