Summary:

Information about how average values, optionally displayed in the Trend Viewer legend, are calculated.

Details:

The average field in the Trend Viewer is a balanced average. This means that the average takes into account the duration of each value.

For example for the average between 12H00 and 13h00:

At 11h30 Value = 100
At 12h45 Value = 200
At 13h30 Value = 180

The value remains at 100 for ¾ of the 1 hour period (12h00 to 12h45). So we give it a coeff of ¾.
The value remains at 200 for ¼ of the 1 hour period (12h45 to 13h00). So we give it a coeff of ¼.
Balance average = ( ¾  x 100 + ¼ x 200 )   = 125

Any NS values are not taken into account in the calculation.
