The BACnet implementation from PcVue version 11.2 onwards uses different technology to which this article is not applicable.
Summary:

The way in which Bacnet is configured in PcVue has changed to improve performance.
Details:

There are a number of significant changes to the way in which Bacnet is configured.

  1. The property Discover devices on connection if device definition file is absent has been removed from the Network dialog. You can still force a manual scan of the network from the BacNet Device List dialog.
  2.  The manual scan now only scans for BacNet Devices. It does not scan for the Objects of the discovered Devices. By default, in the Mapping dialog, all Objects are displayed for each Device whether thay are supported or not.
  3. You can now force a detailed scan of individual Devices by right clicking on the Device node in the Mapping dialog. The detailed scan results in the Device’s actual supported objects (and instances) being displayed in the Mapping dialog.
