Problem

When you copy and paste a drawing element in the HMI, the layer configuration of the original drawing element is not reproduced in the copy. Instead the copy will have the layer configuration of the Workspace at the time of the copy.

Solution

The following process maintains the drawing layer configuration in the copied drawing element(s).

1. Group the source drawing elements(s).
2. Copy the group.
3. Un-group the copy. The individual drawing elements will have the same layer configuration as the original.
